The Canadian Hereditary Angioedema Network (CHAEN) is pleased to announce its upcoming CHAEN Symposium, taking place May 8–9, 2026, at the Westin Harbour Castle in Toronto. This two-day event will bring together clinicians, researchers, and leaders in hereditary angioedema (HAE) care for an engaging program of education, collaboration, and knowledge sharing. Friday evening will feature a welcome reception and dinner, and presentations on registry updates, guideline translation, research priorities, and the historical evolution of HAE management.
Saturday’s sessions will offer in-depth clinical updates and practical insights across the continuum of care, including first-line treatments in Canada, long-term prophylaxis strategies, pregnancy and pediatric case discussions, the use of patient-reported outcome measures, shared decision-making, diagnostic challenges, and transitioning care from pediatric to adult services. The agenda includes expert panel discussions with international specialists, patient perspectives, and the CHAEN Annual General Meeting for members, concluding with an off-site reception and dinner.
Attendees can expect a collaborative forum designed to strengthen best practices and advance outcomes for people living with HAE.
